I always encourage clients to order their extra 25 wedding invitations, save-the-dates, programs, program fans, etc. up front. Why? It is far cheaper to order 25 extra with your initial order. Typically it is considered a “reorder” if you decide a day or two later that you need additional items. The reorder can be almost as much as your initial order once you add shipping, tax, and a possible rush fee if you’re short on time.
The most popular reason I’ve seen reorders of a save-the-date, wedding program, or wedding invitation is that a few guests were omitted by mistake, or the guest list has grown.
Consider the savings on this invitation…if you need 75 invites then order 100 (which includes an extra 25) and pay $289.90 (only $27.70 more) vs $206.80 to reorder 25 extra invitations later.

A trend can be defined as a practice or interest that is very popular for a short period of time. However, I think that the following wedding trends are wonderful ways to really personalize your wedding and provide a great experience for your family and friends. Clever entertainment, creative food, and personal touches are just a few ways to ensure your wedding is a reflection of you and that it stands out.
- family style tables
- clever entertainment
- eco-friendly and/or green weddings
- creative food ideas
- do-it-yourself projects
- personal touches
- intimate venues
What things are you doing to make your wedding is a reflection of you?

The first time I heard of Caroline’s Seven Layer Caramel Cake my first thought was that it would be like eating a bowl of caramel…too sweet and not something that I might like. I was pleasantly surprised. The description fits the cake perfectly… “seven layers of moist yellow cake are coated with Caroline’s famous “melt-in-your-mouth” Caramel Icing.” The caramel icing is a perfect complement to the cake and is quite addictive.

Caroline’s also offers a non traditional wedding cake called the Caramel Wedding Cake. The cake includes your choice of four layers of vanilla yellow cake or chocolate cake filled and iced with caramel icing.
Caroline’s delivers within 125 miles from their bakery in Annapolis, Maryland. Not in the area? No worries, Caroline’s ships.

Spend an entertaining and educational afternoon or evening with the likes of President and Mrs. Obama, Denzel Washington, Madonna, and Jackie Kennedy-Onassis. Take a seat and experience some of what Rosa Parks faced when she sat on a bus back in 1955.

Rosa Parks
Host an event at Madame Tussauds and enjoy interacting with celebrities and historical individuals that have made such an impact in our lives. Also learn the fascinating artistry of wax sculpting. It’s an experience you and your guests will love!

For a twist on a rehearsal dinner or a co-ed bridal shower I love the idea of holding an educational wine gathering. Laurie Forster is The Wine Coach who will give you a crash course in wine. Guests can learn about food and wine pairings, dessert wine pairings, handling a wine glass, and more. To cap off the evening surprise your guests with a copy of “The Sipping Point: A Crash Course in Wine”. It’s a great little book with tips on:
- cooking with wine do’s and don’ts
- buying wines for events
- how to get a broken cork out of the bottle
- how to read a wine list as long as the New York City phonebook
