Donating for a Cause

A colleague of mine was wondering where could she donate her wedding dress.  This got me thinking about organizations that allow you to donate your wedding  dress for a cause.   Here are a few:

I Do Foundation
The I Do Foundation allows you to donate the proceeds from the sale of your wedding gown to the charity of your choice.  www.idofoundation.org/resources/dresses/

The Bridal Garden
The Bridal Garden is a bridal boutique which offers top designer gowns at reasonable prices. Proceeds from the sales of dresses benefit the Sheltering Arms Children’s Services.  www.bridalgarden.org

Making Memories
Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation allows you to donate your gown, veil or slip for the Brides Against Breast Cancer™, Nationwide Tour of Gowns.  “This is a very unique opportunity for brides-to-be to find one-of-a-kind gowns at fabulous prices and help grant a wish for a woman or man with terminal breast cancer.”   www.makingmemories.org
