title pic New York on Sale - continued

Posted by Zuriana on May 31, 2009

I was in New York recently to attend the National Stationery Show.  I had so much to do and so little time…but I had alot of fun, fun, fun!  This blog is a follow up to a New York on Sale posting I created around the end of April or early May.

I enjoyed Megabus so much that I’m going to travel with them again on June 11th.  I’m headed to New York to catch my flight out of JFK for my Beaches Turks & Caicos familiarization trip.  I blogged about Zuriana’s Elegant Occasions new honeymoon, destination wedding, and vacation for couples and families on May 24th.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn NYC - Manhattan 6th Ave.  I could not have planned it better if I tried.  The hotel was a short 2 1/2 block walk from Penn Station where the bus dropped us off.   I indicate short because your baggage on the bus is limited.  A large 1/2 full suitcase (you have to plan ahead for shopping ladies) and my roomy backpack was no problem on my walk.

I have to give a shout out to the staff at the hotel.  They were amazing!  So friendly with excellent customer service.  That’s what I love!  Mr. City Slicker, thank you so much for your great restaurant tips and your tips on how to get to my shopping destinations quickly.

So I was staying in Chelsea.  I learn more about the city every time I go to New York.  Not knowing the area I would always get confused about where the hotel is.  I knew it was on 26th Street, but was it between 6th and 7th Avenues or 7th and 8th Avenues.  So at night the green lights shining from the awning were like a welcoming beacon.  I knew I was back home.

This is a long posting so I’ll continue it on another day.  Til then…
