Wine Gathering 101

For a twist on a rehearsal dinner or a co-ed bridal shower I love the idea of holding an educational wine gathering.  Laurie Forster is The Wine Coach who will give you a crash course in wine.  Guests can learn about food and wine pairings, dessert wine pairings, handling a wine glass, and more.  To cap off the evening surprise your guests with a copy of “The Sipping Point: A Crash Course in Wine”.  It’s a great little book with tips on:

• cooking with wine do’s and don’ts
• buying wines for events
• how to get a broken cork out of the bottle
• how to read a wine list as long as the New York City phonebook
